I’m playing around with my drawing tablet and Clipstudio more. Here is a 10-minute drawing. I am trying to learn more about how to use the watercolor tool because I love the look of water color in comics. I am going to improve on it, but I wanted to make something for ya’ll to have today.
The inspo for this drawing, we all have days were we feel like things happen to us. That we don’t have control over the day. And that is true some days, but we do have control over ourselves and how that day rings for us. There are days when things are absolutely horrid and we can’t help but feel upset about it. Totally natural.
What’s not natural is having a day ruined because you spilled coffee on yourself and now you’re in a mood for the rest of the day.
These tiny moments of bad don’t have to be bad. They don’t need to be tragic or have the people around you feel like they need to be on their guard now that you’ve spilled coffee on your pants.
You control your emotions, not the other way around.
Pudgy is a positive penguin I made to help me remember that when things are bad for a moment, they don’t have to be that way for the entire day. We have that moment, then we breathe, and we let it go away. It’s okay to experience a millisecond of annoyance; it’s not okay to have that annoyance affect everyone else around you for the entire day.
I know I’ve done this and I’m sure I’m alone, so here’s Pudgy to remind you that you make whatever kind of day you have, even when things aren’t the best. So, don’t let the small things ruin your day.
Anyway, the next story series is coming soon! It’s one I’ve been wanting to write for a while now and I’m plotting it out because I don’t want to lose my way during the writing of it.
Be sure to keep an eye on this space for the title reveal!
